Eligibility:
Flying Branch:
- Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in Mathematics and Physics at the 10+2 level.
- Graduates (from a recognized University) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in a three-year course in any discipline.
- BE/B Tech graduates (from a recognized university) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in a four-year course.
- Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of the Associate Membership of the Institute Engineers (India) or the Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent are also eligible.

Ground Duty (Technical) – Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics)/(Mechanical):
- Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level.
- Candidates must have completed a minimum of four years of degree graduation or integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University.
- Candidates must have cleared Sections A and B examination of the Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India).
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) – Administration:
- Candidates must have successfully completed their 10+2 education and hold a Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- Candidates must have cleared the Section A and B examination of the Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) or the Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Ground Duty (Non-Technical) – Education:
- Candidates should have passed their 10+2 examination and completed post-graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks. This includes integrated courses that offer post-graduation.
- Additionally, candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in their graduation in any discipline.
NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch):
- Minimum 60% marks in each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level.
- Graduate (Three Year Course) in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- BE/B Tech (Four Year Course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- Cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- Final year/semester students are also eligible to apply, provided they do not have any present backlogs at the time of AFSB Testing.
AFCAT 2022 Physical Fitness Test:
- The ability to meet the physical fitness requirements of running 1 mile (1.6 km) in 10 minutes, performing 10 pushups, and 3 chin-ups is expected for the mentioned position.
- These requirements indicate the need for a certain level of cardiovascular endurance, upper body strength, and muscular endurance.
Age Limit:
- Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years.
- Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years.

Examination Fee:
- For AFCAT Entry: Rs.250/-
- For NCC special entry & Meteorology: Not required to pay.
AFCAT 2022 Selection Process:
- AFCAT written examination.
- Stage-I – Officer Intelligence Rating Test along with Picture Perception and discussion test.
- Stage-II – Psychological test, Group Tests, and Interview.
- Medical Examination.
- All India Merit List based on performance in the written test and AFSB interview, subject to being medically fit.
